my little guy
i'm planning to make a little laptop using an ESP32, a 1200 mAh battery, a charge circuit, a 3.3v buck converter, a 1.8 inch TFT display, and a whole bunch of buttons. it's currently a WIP, but so far everything is hooked up except for the display. i'm waiting on it from amazon.

everything going on recently
to put it simply, alot happened. aspen was renamed (not saying the name for privacy reasons), vnix was restarted from scratch (even better than last time), and we got a productivity boost subsequently. vnix now has a proper module/initramfs system, and i'm pretty proud of that. will update soon.

my eternal OSDev nightmare
so basically, exec pagefaults and i dont know why as of now, so i concluded that i had to restart the OS from scratch. little did i know, i would have to do my entire journey from scratch, so i decided to not restart and keep the current os. right now trying to debug exec, will keep yall updated.

ext2 vs exfat, and how i decided
long story short, ext2 was being a pain in my ass in vnix, so i decided to go down the exfat route. hopefully exfat isnt as much as a pain as ext2 was.

the sysretq bug
spent 3 weeks debugging why sysretq corrupted my stack. switched to iretq. works now.

ring-3 works
vnix can finally do syscalls without exploding. next: ext2 file reading.
